The ReChord Trial is a prospective, randomized, clinical trial to assess the safety and effectiveness of the NeoChord DS1000 system for the treatment of patients with moderate or severe degenerative mitral regurgitation.
This multicenter trial will assess the treatment outcomes of the NeoChord DS1000 System when compared to isolated mitral valve surgery.
The trial Principal Investigators are David H. Adams, MD, Professor and Chairman, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai, New York and Michael Borger, MD, PhD, Professor and Director, Heart Center Leipzig, Germany.
